The Cascade mountain range is always going to feel like our spiritual home. With tall volcanoes, alpine meadows, and dense forests…Trevor and I just can’t get enough of the fresh air and BIG views that these Washington destinations have to offer. We were dying to photograph an epic Mount Baker hiking elopement for a while now and I was SO thrilled to have such amazing time exploring with Mathea & Brenden. Mount Baker is an active volcano, the fourth highest in Washington, and provides such an epic backdrop, but every direction offered it’s own breathtaking view. This particular location is amazing because of it’s accessibility compared to the rest of the North Cascades. While the last stretch of road to the trailhead was closed for repairs at the time, it was still a relatively short hike to the top. The mountains really put on a show for us as the sun set, and Mount Shuksan lit up in that iconic pink last light.
